Nearly all Egyptian agricultural production takes place in some 2.5 million hectares (6 million acres) of fertile soil in the Nile valley and delta. Desert land is being developed for agricultural, including the ambitious Toshka project in Upper Egypt. Egypt produces a wide range of vegetarian production, and due to the climate the land has high nutritional value whereby crops can be harvested up to three times a year. Egyptian high quality fresh produce is popular and export markets can consume more. The most common corps are onions, potatoes, tomatoes, artichoke, etc. in fruits, mainly oranges, grapes, strawberry and watermelon. Apart from fruits and vegetables Egypt has cut flowers, herbs and spices and food ingredients, also appeal to this market.
Egypt’s agricultural exports increased 3 percent in 2017 to record $2.2 billion, compared to $2.1 billion in 2016, according to Agricultural Export Council’s report.

citrus fruits, potato, onion, garlic, and Fruits’ exports recorded $ 523.23 million, $270.38 million, $215.54 million and $335.03 million, respectively, during the first 11months of 2017.
Ten countries acquired 65 percent of the sector’s exports with $1.3 billion; Russia came first with $290.52 million, followed by Saudi Arabia with $286.68 million and Holland came third with $143.41 million
