In 2023, its combined GDP reached around USD 3 trillion, placing it among the top five global economic blocs.

In 2024, MERCOSUR countries recorded imports exceeding USD 350 billion, making the bloc a leading model of regional integration. It represents a vast market in terms of both consumption and production, and a promising destination for Egyptian exports.
